by Hector Alamo, Jr.
Great Leader of Today
I've often been afraid that this generation lacks passionate and powerful leadership. I've always looked to history with a wishful eye hoping that our time would be blessed with a Martin Luther King, a Malcolm X, a Bobby Kennedy, or a James Baldwin. I think my wish has come true.

DANGEROUS THOUGHTS

PART I - The Facts of Life

by Hector Alamo, Jr.

LINCOLN: RACIST. EMANCIPATOR. GENIUS.

This past Monday marked the 143 anniversary of Lincoln's death. You've heard me criticize Lincoln for his early stance on race relations, especially slavery and black citizenship and voting rights.

SCIENCE OF THE SEVEN-YEAR ITCH

Eliot Spitzerby Hector Alamo, Jr
I hate to say it, but I told you so. (Actually that's untrue. I love to say it.) Lifelong monogamy in human sexual or marriage relationships is completely unnatural. And those words aren't from my brain.

THE HOLEY BIBLE

by Hector Alamo, Jr.
Two things sparked my urge to write today. The first was a news report on CNN about a protest organized against Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas for its extremely anti-gay tone. What got me was the lame defense the now-famous Shirley Phelps put up for her family's stance on homosexuality.
