These are the words of a former president of the United States. We always pride ourselves on living in a country devoted to justice, democracy and civil liberties. We have appointed ourselves as defenders of the free world for close to a century. Every U.S. conflict has had democratization and human rights protection as its primary motivation - at least on paper.
